This exhibition is built to hold a wide range of work, from the quiet and considered to the bold, awkward, unresolved, or confrontational. If you’ve been waiting for a context that doesn’t ask you to translate, explain, or soften your instincts, this is it. Each artist contributes work that feels most like each of them right now. That might mean something formally tight and restrained, or something impulsive, messy, and hard to pin down. Work that leans poetic, gentle, or intimate is just as welcome as work that pushes, provokes, or refuses comfort. Your comment will be posted after it is approved.

STATEMENTKenneth Susynski is an American contemporary painter known for his unique, hybrid style that blends figurative expressionism with abstraction. His narrative oil paintings often explore historical, classical, and contemporary cultural themes with a distinct hint of wit and emotional contrast. His rendering of the human form is structurally influenced by a lifelong interest in historical and contemporary black-and-white photography. His work bridges multiple genres, combining elements of impressionism, traditional portraiture, sharp figuration, and fluid abstraction to create fresh, layered oil paintings. |
